October 28: Dead Alive

movie reviews

Lionel is in love. He plans a sweet, romantic excursion to the zoo with his beloved. But he failed to plan on the intervention of his crazy, old, overbearing mother. Luckily, though, the old broad gets her comeuppance when she’s bitten by a rare Sumatran rat monkey- a beast that must be seen to be believed.

The monkey bite, of course, turns the old woman into a zombie. A big, nasty, over-the-top zombie. She quickly starts spreading her disease, leaving poor Lionel in the center of all the mayhem. So Lionel does what any good boy would do- he gets out the lawnmower and throws down the most epic scene of zombie slaughter ever committed to celluloid.

This movie is highly recommended for the zombie film-goer who thinks he/she has seen it all. Honey, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
